Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story | Outpost VFX
I worked as Layout & Environment Artist at Outpost VFX on Netflix's Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, focusing on set extensions and set dressing. The clips below are some of the shots I contributed to, alongside the official VFX breakdown.
My responsibilities on the show included:
Set extensions: extending the practical locations with CG architecture and surroundings, matched to the live-action plates in scale, perspective and period detail.
Set dressing: populating environments with props, vegetation and architectural elements to add richness and depth to each shot.
Shot layout: assembling scenes in Maya and Houdini, positioning environment assets against the tracked cameras and keeping layout consistent across each sequence.
Environment texturing: painting and adjusting textures in Mari so the CG assets blend with the photographed sets.
Delivery: publishing scene layouts and environment assets for the lighting and compositing teams.
Thanks to the whole team at Outpost VFX. It was a pleasure to be part of this show.
