Bridgerton – Season 3 | Outpost VFX

I worked as Senior Layout & Matchmove Artist at Outpost VFX (UK) on the third season of Netflix's Bridgerton. The clips below are some of the shots I contributed to, alongside the official VFX breakdown.

My responsibilities on the show included:

Camera tracking: solving live-action plates in 3DEqualizer, including lens distortion and survey-based solves, to deliver accurate, stable cameras.
Set reconstruction and alignment: lining up LiDAR scans and photogrammetry of the locations with the solved cameras, so CG environments sit correctly in the plate.
Object tracking and rotomation: matching moving props, vehicles and performers where CG needed to interact with the live action.
Shot layout: building scenes in Maya and Houdini, placing set extensions and environment assets to scale, and keeping layout consistent across each sequence.
Quality control and delivery: checking solves in Nuke with undistorted plates and overlays, then publishing cameras, geometry and scene layouts for the animation, FX, lighting and compositing teams.
Supporting the team: as a senior artist, troubleshooting difficult shots and helping keep quality consistent across the department.

Thanks to the whole team at Outpost VFX. It was a pleasure to be part of such a beautiful show.
