Bob Marley: One Love | Outpost VFX

I worked as Senior Layout & Environment Artist at Outpost VFX on Paramount Pictures' Bob Marley: One Love, where I was responsible for the crowd layout across all of the studio's crowd shots and contributed to the environment work on the concert scenes. The clips below are some of the shots I contributed to, alongside the official trailer.

My responsibilities on the film included:

Crowd layout: placing and distributing the CG crowds in every shot, matching the density, scale and perspective of the live-action audience and filling the venues convincingly.
Shot layout: assembling scenes in Maya and Houdini against the tracked cameras, and keeping crowd placement and continuity consistent across each sequence.
Environment build: building background stage elements in Houdini, including the sound towers and lighting towers that extend the practical sets.
Set dressing: dressing several scenes and sets with environment assets to add detail and depth to the backgrounds.
Delivery: publishing layouts, environment assets and crowd placement data for the crowd, lighting and compositing teams.

Thanks to the whole team at Outpost VFX. It was a pleasure to help bring these concerts to life.
