Traditional sculpture: a clay portrait of Bad Ape, the chimpanzee from War for the Planet of the Apes, made as a personal project at Milano Art Academy.

It started as an ape anatomy study to understand the skull, the muzzle and the brow ridge, and grew into a likeness of the character, checked against reference on screen as I went. The sequence shows it from the first blocking to the finished piece.
