Traditional sculpture: an academic study of a classical nose in clay, made at Milano Art Academy and copied as a relief from a plaster cast, which can be seen next to the piece in the photo below.

The exercise is all about observation: blocking in the big planes first, then refining the bridge, the tip and the nostrils until they match the cast.
